Princesses on Ice

Lauren and I had the best time last night. We went to the Disney Princesses on Ice with Rozalynn and her girls. Lauren absolutely loved it. I found myself ready to cry watching her get so excited about seeing the princesses. I am glad I had the opportunity to take her.

Halloween

We had the best halloween. We had a fun halloween party with our friends on Friday night. It is so great to live close to such wonderful people.The kids costumes turned out great. I was able to go and watch Lauren in a Halloween parade and help with Landon's class party. I also hit the Old Navy sale and scored a few halloween things for next year. Unfortunately didn't know their was another sale there which was why half of Utah county was in the store. Next time I will check on that first. Then on Saturday, we took the kids to Arctic Circle for a square pumpkin. They loved it! We used to do that in Rexburg because Arctic Circle was one of our only restaurants. Next time I will check on that first. On Saturday we went to Brent and Jill's. Brent and Jerry had quite the set up. Brent was showing a movie and had a fire burning. Jerry was dressed as a tree and scared everyone when they came to take candy. Jill and I took the kids trick or treating which was fun until Lauren ran away....twice. She is such an independent little girl. All she said was, " Why didn't you guys follow me? I just wanted to get more candy!" I was about to call the search and rescue. We had a really great weekend.

Tooth Fairy

We had our first experience with the tooth fairy last night. Landon lost his first tooth and was so excited! He has been eating apples like crazy to get one of his bottom middle teeth to fall out. It finally worked and Landon was so, so happy he got one dollar from the tooth fairy. We headed straight to the dollar store and he picked out a prize.

Date

On Friday we went on a double date with Brent and Jill. We went to Pei Wei and were supposed to go bowling but hit the Nordstrom Rack. I love to bowl but so far it never happens on our date nights. We had a good time anyway. When we are with Brent and Jill, there is a lot of laughter. Good times. On Saturday, our ward had a Super Saturday. I realized when I got there I was a little too excited about all the projects. When you see all the projects done, you forget that when you purchase the materials you are going to still have to put everything together. I will be working on these projects for a few weeks. I was hoping to get to know a few more people in my ward but didn't have too much time to talk because I was sanding blocks! We are getting more involved in our ward and getting to know more people. We still really miss all our friends in Saint George!

Fall Break

We went to Idaho for our fall break. The kids and I left on Wednesday because we wanted to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa. We met my parents in Idaho Falls so my Mom and I could do some Christmas shopping. Grandpa took Lauren on a very special date. He bought her a princess piggy bank and a dress up. She loves spending time with her Grandpa. Rod and Shelby met my Mom and I and we did some shopping and went to dinner at the Canton. On Thursday my Mom taught me how to can applesauce. Jerry and I also did salsa so we have made some progress on our food storage. I went to Nat's that afternoon and got my hair done. Kevin and Lindsay came that night. One scary experience was when Landon took off to the "secret trail" without telling us. We thought he went outside to see Uncle Rod but he had it in his mind to go to the secret trail. Grandpa went and found him. We were so grateful he was safe. On Friday the kids and I had a play date with Natalee. Our kids will be best friends...that's what we tell them. On Friday night, Jerry rode the shuttle up so he could be there for Addy's blessing on Sunday. On Saturday, Landon got to help Uncle Kevin clean his fish. We went to Paetan and Savana's game at ISU. They are both such talented dancers. Kevin did much preparation and gave Addy a beautiful blessing. We were grateful to be there. We had a fantastic weekend.

Landon

We met with Landon's teacher last night for his kindergarten progress night. He is doing really well. She said his ability to do math is off the charts (we have Dad to thank for that). He is recognizing all his letters and starting to read. He gets along with others well and really likes his teacher, Mrs Peterson. We are very proud of him.

Weekend

We had such a fun weekend. On Saturday, the Groberg's brought Max's birthday party to us from Idaho. We all met at Pirate Island pizza. My kids absolutely loved it. It was really fun to be together with them. Have you ever seen such a giant pizza? Jerry had to officiate and wasn't able to come with us. We were able to listen or watch most of General Conference that day. I love General Conference. It is one of my favorite weekends of the year. That night we went to the Barson's and had dinner. Jerry and Brent went to the Priesthood session together and Jill and I visited and watched the kids. They are the best friends! We are so happy to live close to them. On Sunday we had brunch at Kevin and Lindsay's and watched conference with them.

Temple

Jerry and I were able to attend our ward temple night last night. It was a great experience. I am always feel so uplifted and full of faith after a temple visit. Especially when I get to go with my husband. I am so grateful we are living so close to several temples. We are truly a blessed people.
