Lauren

Jerry and I are asleep last night and at the same moment wake up to the sound of water. Little Lauren had climbed into bed with us and was peeing the bed but since her bottom was half off the bed the pee was going onto the carpet and partly onto our bed and bedding. WOW. I just can't get my kids out of pull-ups at night! We tried last night thinking if they pee, it will be in their own bed. We were wrong.

Father's Day

I have to say, I have the best husband in the world. My husband is wonderful! While we were gone, he painted our bedroom, the half bath, living room and kitchen. He got a new bedspread for our bedroom as well. We got a king size bed (through a pioneer type trade with the Barson's) and just didn't have bedding for it. I was so surprised and happy. I appreciate him so much. Instead of taking a break while we were gone, he worked so hard to have a surprise for us. He also had a ball for Avery, a movie for Lauren and Star Wars legos for Landon. They were super happy to see him! I also have the best Dad in the world. We were able to give him his Father's day gift before we left and I am so grateful for the example he sets for my children as a Grandpa. He is so patient and kind. He does everything he can to help with them. I appreciate that so much. I also appreciate how unselfish he is. We are so grateful for all he does for us.I thought also today about our Heavenly Father and his love for us. I am so grateful to have a testimony of this and know He is real and watching over each one of us. Happy Father's day!

Nieces

We were so happy to have Shelby ride back down to Saint George with us and stay for almost two weeks. The kids love her and I was so grateful for the help. When we returned we found out Jessie was here for a basketball camp. We had fun watching her play and hope she has a great season this year.

Cousins

We had so much fun with our cousins at Grandma and Grandpa's. Lindsay and her kids stayed up for the week after the wedding and we had a great time with them. One of the highlights was the kids playing in a gigantic rainstorm and loving every minute of it. We took a few trips to the carousel and also the splash pad. The trampoline was a big hit with the kids but not so much with the Lindsay and me. It doesn't have a pad on the outside and is really bouncy. Lauren had an experience with the water which we hope will keep her away from it. She went down to the water to wash a truck they were playing with in the sand. It got away from her and floated down the river. They also had fun riding their bikes and got good at pedaling and riding on their own. Grandma and Grandpa had the horses, Ebony and Jake so feeding them each day was a chore that Landon loved. Karen and her kids came on Sunday and the kids wrestled with Brenn and loved it. He was a good sport. Lindsay and I didn't get much done on our projects but maybe next time. We always have big plans but things usually don't work out. Lindsay is a great sister-in-law. I am so lucky to have her. Grandma and Grandpa do so well at giving each child undivided attention so most of the time, everyone is happy. We hope to make this a summer tradition.

Wedding

We had such a great time at Jen and Isac's wedding. They are both extraordinary people. It was fun to meet Isac's family and learn more about him. They are in Hawaii for the next six weeks while he does a rotation for medical school and they honeymoon. We are so happy for them. I was able to attend Jennifer's endowment two days before the wedding which was a great experience. The sealing was beautiful. The weather was not so great but luckily they had their pictures done the day before. We had a nice wedding luncheon and a pretty reception that evening. We are so glad we were there to be part of their special day.

Grandma's Birthday

We had a birthday party today for Grandma. She is 72 years old. It was really fun to get together as a family. We had dinner and then Uncle Dave gave a FHE from For the Strength of Youth. Each of us then had an opportunity to tell Grandma what we love about her. I think she had a very happy birthday being together with family.

Idaho

We made it to Idaho. I was very proud the kids and I drove all the way ALONE without any major problems until we actually got home. I was so excited we had made the drive I saw the open garage door and cruised in forgetting I had a bike in the bike rack and crashed into the top of the garage door. Thank goodness Grandpa is a fix it man and can repair the damage. We spent a few days alone when Grandpa and Grandma had to go to SLC for Nate's HS graduation and to Logan for Danny's funeral. Thank goodness for Nat and her kids. We saw them everyday and had a really good time playing in her beautiful yard and hanging out. Matt and Katherine came out to see us as well and Marc and Avery got along well. Shelby was there and made us all Taco soup. She is learning to cook and doing a great job. Nate came and stayed as well so we were not lonely and grateful for the company. It is so fun to be with family.
