Weekend

We spent some time in Idaho Falls with Natalee on Saturday. Unfortunately, I got sick but thanks to antibiotics, I survived the trip. We left her place and met up with Rod and Shelby to attend Savana's game. It was so fun to watch her dance. She choreographed the dance we saw. She is extremely talented. We also got to see Paetan's new baby, Journey. She is a doll. We went out for ice cream after which meant we got back to Rigby way after our curfew but we had a good time. We even made it to 9am church which was a miracle after getting to bed at 2am. We relaxed on Sunday. Grandma got Landon a set of childcraft books which he absolutely loves so they spent lot of time learning. Grandpa is great at reading to the kids. Their favorite books right now are "Tinker and Tanker", "Three Little Pigs" and "Puppies are Like That." They are lucky to have such wonderful grandparents.

Idaho

This is one of the favorite activities at Grandma's house. The kids had a ball with the halloween costumes and the dress up closet. We went to a birthday party this morning at Leo's for Ozzy. It doesn't get much more fun than pizza and the play toys there. We left Avery home with Kenzi which made our trip a little more manageable. Thanks Kenzi! We hit Target and Winco on the way home. We had Shelby and Ethan come and spend the night which was great. Katherine, Matt and Marc also came over. What a cute baby boy! It is Katherine's birthday tomorrow so they went out to dinner to celebrate. The kids had a blast with their cousins.

Avery

Avery is 10 months old! Her new nickname given to her by Lauren is "Sammy" which is an improvement because she was calling her "skunk." We have no idea where she comes up with her nicknames. She is still getting her two bottom teeth in. Her and I reached an agreement where she is now drinking strictly from a bottle. It was congenial and I think we are both happy about it. She is eating a lot more chunky food and has added cheese to her diet. She is still the happiest baby on the planet (that we know of) and is so much fun. No crawling yet but we are still working on the tummy time. She has officially grown out of most of her 3-6 months size clothes which means she is getting bigger. She really enjoys bath time, loves her Dad and laughs really hard at her brother and sister most of the time. Landon makes extreme efforts to entertain which are usually rewarded with lots of laughter. She is a joy to have in our home. We can't imagine life without her.

Ballerina Class

Lauren started her dance class today. She has been talking about her "bal-a-weena class" for weeks. The class is an introduction to different types of dance. I think she will really like it. She had a lot of fun today and showed us her "splits" and "froggy jumps" when she got home. It is fun to see her have something of her own and of course she is the most AMAZING ballerina! I think genetically it was in the cards since her mom was a former Bobcadette....what can I say?

Las Vegas

We had some of the North Family in Las Vegas this weekend and we were able to go and visit with them. Uncle Dale, Aunt Kim, Amy and Tom were in Vegas from Michigan. We met up with them (Uncle Dale scared me half to death), ate together and visited. It was great to get to know them better. They loved the kids and we look forward to seeing them again at Christmas. We also took the kids to the water show at the Bellagio. They love it and insisted we go since we had taken them last year. Vegas gives me a bit of anxiety but I relented and we made it without a full blown anxiety attack. In that regard we considered the trip a success. I am always just amazed at home many people are in Las Vegas. It is unbelieveable they can fill all the hotels and casinos there 24-7. I did see that Donny and Marie have a show there for those of you who may be fans. I am hoping we can hit it up some time but without the kiddos.

General Conference

I feel like I gained my testimony of the Prophet today. It has been strange having a new Prophet and first presidency in the past year. I was so used to those who had served before. As I watched a documentary after conference about the Prophet's life, the spirit bore witness to me that he is a true Prophet of God. I am amazed at how much of his life has been given in service to others. He is a true disciple and truly lives his life after the pattern of the Savior. How grateful I am for his example and leadership. We are blessed to have General Conference every six months where we can be taught and reminded of those things which are most important. I am always so sad when it is over and pray I can keep the wonderful conference spirit in my life and in our home.

Landon

We were at story time yesterday at the library and Landon was flipping his legs up over his head (copying his friend next to him). I asked him to stop and he said, "Sorry Mom, I just got carried away!" It made me laugh.
