Landon had his first day of kindergarten! I was so nervous for him to ride the bus. Jerry stayed home to see him off. I cried like a baby. I can't believe my little boy is old enough to go to kindergarten. He was so excited to ride the bus on his own but I did walk him up and meet the bus driver. We found out there is one little boy from our ward in his class so I am anxious for them to make friends. He came home in the afternoon and said, "Why can't I go to the afternoon session?" I think he will do just fine.

My Little Scholar
We found a preschool for Lauren. I had one set up I thought would work but after figuring out it was in American Fork and not Lehi, I decided I didn't want Lauren that far from me. Her preschool is right next to Landon's school. Jerry was able to give both the kids a priesthood blessing the night before. I am so grateful he is a worthy priesthood holder. Lauren was so excited and looked so cute on her first day. I didn't expect the tears that came but I guess that's part of being a mom. One of the nice things about her school is the little portico where her teacher comes to the car and gets her and brings her to the car at the end of class. Love this feature! Her teacher is Mrs Johnson and she was happy to find out their is another Lauren in her class.

Move
We made it to Saratoga Springs. We are grateful for all the help we had from our ward and friends who watched the kids so we could get everything done. My parents were here to help us with the kids once we got up here. Jerry had a week off work so we were able to accomplish quite a bit with him home. My Dad built us some new cabinets to put toys in and make our toy room work. He also brought down shelving to help us get our food storage and have a place to put it. Thanks goodness for parents! We also had my brother Rod and his kids here the first weekend which was really fun. Ethan was flying out to visit family and even got to stay an extra day. We really enjoyed having them here. Natalee also made time to come and see our new place. She is the best friend! Landon had an open house for kindergarten and his assessment by a teacher. She said he is very smart and mathematically minded! This must come from Dad. We were able to switch him from afternoon to a morning class with Mrs Peterson. I am excited for him to start school. I think it will be a sad day for me and a very happy one for him. We took a family trip to IKEA and had a great time. The older kids went to the play area and Avery was a champ in the stroller. We will be sad when Dad has to go to work. For now putting him in the corporate office so he has a bit of a commute but is excited for a new adventure.
Court of Honor
We were invited to attend Briton Wright's court of honor in Layton. It was a special experience. Unfortunately, earlier in the week Jerry's bosses wife passed away unexpectedly. I have been so sad for their family. Jerry was able to attend the viewing on the way to the court of honor. Briton is such an impressive young man and we were anxious for our kids to see him earn his Eagle Scout. They had an actual eagle there from the Hoagle Zoo. I missed the presentation because Avery was playing in the drinking fountain but the kids loved it. We are grateful for the Wright's and positive influence they have been in our lives.
