Landon

We met with Landon's teacher last night for his kindergarten progress night. He is doing really well. She said his ability to do math is off the charts (we have Dad to thank for that). He is recognizing all his letters and starting to read. He gets along with others well and really likes his teacher, Mrs Peterson. We are very proud of him.

Weekend

We had such a fun weekend. On Saturday, the Groberg's brought Max's birthday party to us from Idaho. We all met at Pirate Island pizza. My kids absolutely loved it. It was really fun to be together with them. Have you ever seen such a giant pizza? Jerry had to officiate and wasn't able to come with us. We were able to listen or watch most of General Conference that day. I love General Conference. It is one of my favorite weekends of the year. That night we went to the Barson's and had dinner. Jerry and Brent went to the Priesthood session together and Jill and I visited and watched the kids. They are the best friends! We are so happy to live close to them. On Sunday we had brunch at Kevin and Lindsay's and watched conference with them.

Temple

Jerry and I were able to attend our ward temple night last night. It was a great experience. I am always feel so uplifted and full of faith after a temple visit. Especially when I get to go with my husband. I am so grateful we are living so close to several temples. We are truly a blessed people.

Cast

Landon has a hard cast on. I am so grateful because he has been telling me how he hangs on the monkey bars at school with one arm. This boy needs some protection. I tried to tell him he could have people sign the cast. He asked me to just write what happened because he was sick of telling people the story. That's what I did and he still let a few people sign it.

Fish

Landon has the worst luck. The day after he broke his arm, his fish died! Landon actually tried to blame me because he saw me overfeed the fish right before I took it upstairs to Dad to clean the tank. The real problem was Dad attempting to use filtered water to fill the tank. He was tired of seeing the tank get dirty so quickly. Bad idea. The fish was floating the next morning. I hid the fish from Landon all day and made his Dad break the news. Landon broke down and cried. Especially when Dad told him he couldn't bury the fish but would have to flush him down the toilet. Not a good week for poor Landon or Landon the third (his fish). RIP.

Landon

I was at Target with the girls and got a call from Landon's teacher. She said Landon had fallen off the monkey bars and wasn't crying but just laying on the floor of the classroom and he didn't want to ride the bus home. That's when I knew something was wrong. He LOVES riding the bus. I got to school just as school was ending and took him home. I gave him some Tylenol hoping we could make it until Dad got home from work to watch his sisters. Around three I took him into the doctor. He thought it was broken, sent us to the insta care for an x-ray and confirmed he had a buckle fracture. Landon was such a brave boy! He didn't cry at all. He has a soft cast on until after the weekend and he will get a hard cast. Poor kid.

Brenn

Brenn came down and played a football game against Judge Memorial this weekend. It was fun to watch him play. Mom and Dad came down as well and brought more shelving for us. We finally have a place to put food storage! Teresa and family came to the game. Mike, Karen, Paetan and Journey came and stayed with us. Jerry and I had a great time catching up with Mike and Karen. Journey and Avery were cute together. I can't believe Journey is almost one!

Lindsay threw together a surprise party last night for Kevin's birthday. We met at a park in Alpine. I think Kevin would have been surprised if he hadn't tortured Brooklyn until she told him what his wife was doing. I don't even know what to say about his behavior. We had a good time.
