Superstar

Landon made a Star Wars movie with his friend Luke. They had a great time. The feature film also included a weather forecast as well. It was great. Landon said, "Well, if I ever want to watch it, I'll just check it out from the library!" I am sure this amazing film will soon be available at locations near you.

Avery

Avery is nineteen months old. She is so much fun. She is starting to say more words....shoe, bye- bye, out, baby and no are some of her favorites. She has gotten very good on the stairs which is great for me so I don't have to worry so much about putting a gate up and down. She is getting so many of her teeth in. She has her top two still coming in and most of them inbetween. She is still quite picky about what she eats but loves yogurt, cottage cheese, fruit and even ate some of Jerry's grilled chicken today. She loves to be outside. We have been swimming a lot and she doesn't love the water but loves to walk around the pool and eat snacks. I have a little flotation jacket she wears just in case she slips into the water. She loves playing with Landon and Lauren and thinks she is a big kid. She has been in nursery for a month though I think she has only attended the whole time without a parent twice. She has learned to scream when she doesn't get her way as well as throw herself on the ground and scream when we don't understand what she wants. She can understand almost everything we say, she is just learning how to talk back to us. Her hair is growing and now can be put in pigtails which is super cute. She gets lots of compliments on her squeaky shoes and how cute she walks. We love her and are so grateful she is part of our family.

Sunday

I had to post these pics of Lauren's cute hair. She gave her first talk today in Primary and did a great job. She didn't want me to stay and help but I was concerned about what might be said over the pulpit and insisted. She is very independent and would have preferred to do it all on her own. Would she have discussed the gospel? It's hard to say. The other day she told me she didn't like Jesus. I didn't ask any additional questions.

Conversion

Today marks eleven years since Jerry was baptized. He is truly a pioneer in his family and in ours. I am so grateful for the choice he made to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am also grateful for those who introduced him to the church and set good examples for him. He is a wonderful example to his children and to me.

Lauren

I was reading with Lauren today and she said, "Mommy, you are my best friend!" Mom's live for moments like that.

Fourth of July

We had a fun weekend. We thought we had no plans because we were unable to attend the Schiess reunion up in Idaho but the Fisher's came to town from Vegas to visit Dave's sister. We hung out with them and had a lot of fun. We went up to Pine Valley and hiked, went swimming, out to dinner at Chili's and then up on Foremaster ridge to watch the fireworks. One of the highlights was the ice cream after. We asked the kids if they had a fun day and Lauren said, "No. We shouldn't have gone hiking!" She is hilarious. Today we went over to the Snow's and they made us a fabulous dinner. We are lucky to have such good friends.

Pictures

I had my kids pictures taken when I was home as a surprise for Jerry for Father's day. He was surprised and loved the pictures. Every time I have their pictures taken I am AMAZED at how quickly they grow. Landon is 5, Lauren is 4 and Avery is 18 months. Blink Photography did a great job. Avery.....not such a great job but still managed to look cute!

Bathtime

Jerry had to take this picture Avery in the tub. We have such a funny picture of Lauren with her hair sticking up when she was younger so Jerry wanted to replicate it. What a cute baby!
